neglect

This poor blog suffers from neglect. I'm not sure if it's the fact that I now work or what, but it's just wrong not to keep up. This is for everyone who wants to keep tabs on us as well as for our kids one day and I want it to be reliable for my two or three readers out there.

We've been busy but that is good because it's more blog fodder. February was full of activities from tennis, dance and scouts to ripping out ugly trim work in the house and getting serious about training for a half marathon (serious is all relative). March has been equally busy as we've now thrown baseball into the mix. Sam and Kate are playing and Brian is their assistant coach. Kate is the only girl on the team and takes it pretty seriously, and Sam claims to be the "star player" since he played on the same team last year (along with all the other star players who are returning). Matthew is enjoying tennis and played in his first tournament on Saturday, and please take the term "tournament" lightly. It involved prizes such as "sticky lizards" and plastic tops. No pictures from that event unfortunately, camera mom was running a 10k on Ft. Lewis...excuse me Joint Base Lewis-McChord or JBLM as we now have to call it. Brian leaves for Chicago next weekend and I am joining him half way through his conference! Just the thought of two full days to explore Chicago makes me giddy. Suggestions for the few of you reading this who have been to Chicago are appreciated!

Pictures will be up soon, in the meantime thanks for checking in and do not give up on Benders5!
