Brian and Kate attending the ROA's Daddy Daughter Dance last month. We now know what our ROA dues are going toward here in Dupont. The theme was Academy Awards and Kate came home with a swag bag complete with feather boa, sunglasses and make-up, and the venue (the elementary school) was transformed quite beautifully. Last year the whole Daddy Daughter Dance seemed, well, comical to me (perhaps because Kate had no Daddy to take her?) but this year it seemed so appropriate (minus the boa and make-up) to have Brian and Kate attend. Kate has grown up so much in the past year and really got the whole idea of a dance...choosing a dress, taking a bath, blow drying hair (rarely happens) and even a little nail polish (clear with pink sparkles). Brian was excited to take her too so all around it was a great event for both. I wish we had video as I'd love to see but Brian said Kate didn't stop dancing the entire night, and even hopped on stage with the Frank Sinatra impersonator for part of the evening. Look out teenage years.

She is so gorgeous! I love that dress, she needs to come help me shop. Such sweet photos, I'm sure Brian loves having a little girl to keep him hopping.
Kate really wanted that dress and wouldn't you know it was a Costco special! $15.00. I had the most adorable mini-boden dress picked out but ultimately she won (as I suppose she should) and I should be grateful. Brian does love having a little girl, she keeps him sane if truth be told!
