The hotels we stayed in both times we spent the night were right next to this museum, awesome location and views...can't imagine what the going rate was during the Olympics.

Let the Chaos Begin
We made it. Now what?

What? Other people had our same idea? Crowds? Did we bring the leashes?

Vancouver Art Gallery. The kids are posing on the stairs in front. Please note the police over Kate's shoulder. The children had their first introduction to a certified insane person. A man who had a "sick brain" as we kindly refer to the insane was screaming about Olympic terrorists. That Olympians were terrorists. That we were terrorists. Good stuff. Many questions followed of course. We really didn't try to put our kids in danger, honest. He was about a thousand years old and very small. The man over Sam's shoulder in the white shirt and jacket must have been a PR guy for the city or the Olympics because he was assuring us all was good, enjoy yourselves, no big deal here...my biggest question in all this was "where are the Mounties when you need them?"
