We stayed right off Rue Cler, a small pedestrian-only street filled with food, food and more food. It was heaven. I find the term "foodie" to be rather pretentious but if you are one...self-described or otherwise, then this is the street for you. I just plain old love food. Love to look at it, smell it, eat it, and once in a while cook it. Love to cook it that is, I cook often. Cheese, wine, fruits and vegetables, horse meat, (what's that you say? Yes, it's true, it's fairly common around these French-speaking areas...we have not or will not be trying it), bread, bread, and more bread sprinkled with eclairs and tartes and the likes, Asian "traiteurs", cafes and restaurants galore. Here are a some scenes from the street...
