A few shots of the chateau grounds. No doubt this place was splendid back in it's glory days as it had manicured gardens and fountains and such. Now it's more French country, technically Belgian I suppose but regardless it's country living. There are chickens, donkeys, sheep and now seven dogs thanks to Miss Molly. There is a chestnut tree that is supposed to be nearly a thousand years old. (Sadly a large portion of it fell the other morning, the wind was too much for the old guy). It's rustic definitely, yet genuine and beautiful. The kids are having the time of their lives out tromping around. Mud boots are desperately needed! There should be a pair and a half on the truck next week...yes we brought one boot with us. Huh?
Here you go...

Reminds me of The Holiday for some reason, rustic European country I guess, so I LOVE IT!! And Sam continues to be the most photogenic child ever. Kate and Matthew not far behind of course. What lucky kids, so much exploring to do!
I think The Holiday is one of the prettiest movies ever made. Must see it again!
