More Vancouver

Shots taken around beautiful Stanley Park.

Just because I thought this was really freaky and wondered why it was considered beautiful enough to be part of the decor at this historical hotel?

Another reason I love the Pacific Northwest. Not to say you can't buy apples anywhere else, but they are beautiful and abundant and local around these parts!

We had such a nice time on this mini-vacation. The kids really enjoyed themselves and Brian and I did too. We feel fortunate to be able to give them opportunities like this, and hope it expands their horizons in some way. The other morning at school we were learning about straits and isthmuses (not my favorite word to say) and we showed a picture of the Strait of Juan De Fuca, and pointed out that it was between Washington and Canada. Shy little Kate raised her hand with more excitement than I've ever seen at school and told her class she'd been to Vancouver Canada and that she had lots of fun. I loved this!
