Saturday we woke to a little snow on our car windshield, this was very exciting. It was a very tiny amount, but it was SNOW!!! As we got ready to head down the road to the Christmas tree farm, we looked out the window and saw this!
We let the kids out as they couldn't wait another minute. Sam lasted about three minutes as he slipped and got his pants all wet. Kate lasted about 30 seconds. "It's coooooooooooold!" was all she said over and over. Matthew was loving it. He is truly a nature lover and this was a beautiful time to be outside.
We eventually packed up and headed out to the tree farm. We had big plans to cut our own since they are so plentiful here, but we passed a lot of pre-cuts on the way and I was feeling very wimpy since it was so wet and cold. I can handle the wet and cold, but not so much the complaining from others about wet and cold! The perfect tree stood right before us, it was a done deal. Too easy. We then headed onto the farm for some hot apple cider and a visit to this beautiful nativity scene set up in a barn dated from the 1800s. I love this time of year.
