Showtime

The school puts on an impressive Christmas concert, I think this is what has made it officially feel like Christmas to me the last two years.

Kate is the only one of the three in the choir this year, the boys just weren't feeling it.  They pretty much weren't feeling it last year either but I made them stick it out since they wanted to do it.  Or did they...I don't remember but it certainly didn't hurt them.  The choir had a few turns on stage, as did each class.  Sam's class, the 3/4 combo, plays the recorders.  Matthew's class, the 5/6 group, gets to rock the handbells.  The 7/8s are the really cool ones who get to choose an instrument and play in the band.

Oooooh, singing so beautifully....

Kate is wearing a cape my grandmother brought back from Scotland for me when I was little...like 3 I think.  Kate gets this out every Christmas and really wanted to wear it for the show.  (She wears size 8 for reference)

The choir.  Love the reindeer in the tiny cape, the elf, the Santas and the Flamenco girls!  Nice mix of folks.

Maracas are ready to get down to Feliz Navidad

I don't think Kate and Molly stopped interacting for more than a few seconds during their turn on stage.  They were constantly checking each other out and appeared to be trying to one up each other.  Molly is the elf.

Taking a break from Molly to show Grace her maraca?  Or what?

Oh yeah, all set to jam on the recorder

Into it.

Blurry but look who's showing off.  One handed recorder player, and left handed at that.

Nerves!  The boys each had a line in French and English of "The Night Before Christmas"

"The stockings were hung, le longue de la chimenee, in the hopes that St. Nicholas, n'es pas des oublies"

Success

Sam's turn

"And what to my wondering eyes je regarde but a miniature sleigh et huit renne passee"
So Canadian, back and forth, back and forth English and Francais

Handbells

Beautiful job

What's wrong reindeer?

?

Belting it out for the finale

The boys showing off their handmade gifts.  Very nice.

MTB and his boys, Logan and Luke

Three of a kind.  Great friends and good guys.

They requested a funny face shot
There you have it.  Probably not the most interesting post to the casual reader, but family may appreciate it and I know the kids will someday.
