Anything Will Do

Really...something, anything is better than nothing, right?  Memories are made daily and some should be recorded.  Lord knows I've got the pictures to support that.

This isn't just anything though.  This just happens to be the last picture I downloaded in 2011, as well as our Bender Family Crest.  Matthew made it for a social studies project and there is a lot to it.  Each of us has a background color and an animal to represent character traits.  I love my boy.  He thinks I am peaceful and strong!  The crest took up a nice upper chunk of our Christmas tree, which is a little odd but it was able to nicely disguise the large Charlie Brown-like stick portion of our Euro-tree that we grew to love.

More to come (and I've never said that before...) but this it for now.  A random picture a day will do, I know.  So much to catch up on though...vacations to Ireland, England, France...school concerts and Irish dance performances, Cub Scouts outing to Bastogne, Christmas, Thanksgiving, St. Nicholas and Black Peter IN THE HOUSE (really, in our house) and all kinds of little blogable tidbits.
Until then,
Happy New Year!
