Beautiful

Pictures soon, I need to find the card reader first.  I have to comment on the view this morning though.  It's a gray, misty day here (so not summer lately) and I am looking across the pond/moat at the sheep and masses of hydrangeas.  It is so peaceful, it's almost hypnotic.  I really could just stare at it all day.  However, we have two duck families that live on the pond so when they see us in the window or on the patio they scoot their cute little duck selves over here and wait to be fed.  Since they are just so darn cute, we must indulge them.  There are loads of doves that sit on the fence, and a solo blue heron that swoops in across the water a few times a day.  All of this plus the fact that we are living in an 18th century stable complete with the original floor tiles and wood beams in the ceiling upstairs makes me never want to venture outside the gates.  It is so darn perfect!  Well not perfect because every house here has it's quirks, but the beauty and authenticity of it all makes it very easy to overlook the fact that we have weird showers and no toilet in our bathroom.  We have toilets, don't worry, just in odd places.  Alright, time to snap out of it, because we are heading to France to pay a visit to the Le Creuset factory.  An hour and a half away and it's sales month!  Not that we need anything, but it's fun to get out and explore.  I will have a very hard time paying for Le Creuset even on sale after scoring four beautiful sauce pans for 12 euro at a brocante!  Yes, four red Le Creuset cast iron pans for 12 euro.
Alright, another blog post that is all over the place and without pictures.  Bless you dear reader for putting up with this.  I'd rather gloat/brag/explain/document things like the view and the fact that I'm going to France here on the blog than on Facebook though so here you go.

Love the hydrangeas of course, so jealous as mine are dying in the heat wave. And your window scenes, lovely, just lovely. Looks like a very comfortable home after the grandeur of the chateau. I will need to see more photos! Oh and love the "new" patio set.
