The girl has her own flair along with a strong independent streak, so put the two together and we often have some interesting outfits. Kate got "dressed up" to go to a barbecue at our friends' house last weekend. White undershirt designed by Kate, covered with last year's favorite Costco sundress, soccer socks and her new "tie shoes". Top it off with Mom's scarf from a Paris street vendor and we've got ourselves a look. I choose my battles wisely and encourage creativity so it's all good. For now.
