Out and About

Just a few shots from a walk around the neighborhood.  I'm feeling really sentimental as we are getting closer every day to leaving Washington.  Oh, yes, we are moving for the onesie twosie reader who doesn't already know...Belgium is next on the Tour de Bender!  We had hoped to get this assignment since we must finally uproot from our beloved Dupont, but we weren't going to go until early next summer.  As luck/fate whatever you like to say would have it, we got the call while on vacation from Brian's boss wondering if he'd be up for the assignment now.  Well, now as in ninety days, which actually comes down to about 60 days but what they really mean is ASAP.  Only so much ASAPing you can do when you are moving a family to Europe!  Needless to say we are very excited for this opportunity, but looking back at all the pictures from our time here has me quite weepy.

Oh yes...the neighborhood stroll.

This was Ft. Nisqually at one point, a real, true trading post back in the Lewis and Clark days.  Just down the street.  There are still fruit trees that were planted back in the day where we sampled our first sugar plum four years ago.

Hanging out at the "Fort Park".  We have named every park in this town, and there are a few parks around here.  The Fort Park is probably the most boring of all but the walk there is by far the best.

The new Civic Center.  Random, yes, but it's all about the memories.  Plus I wouldn't mind building a house that resembles this someday.  Resembles a civic center, well, it's not that weird...our housing options in Belgium consist of renovated barns, carriage houses, breweries, crack houses...the opportunities are endless.

I love my boys.
