We attended a great event on post the other day starring The Reptile Man of Washington. Yes I believe that's what he calls himself. He brought along several snakes, this alligator named Lucy, a tortoise and a few large lizards. The kids loved it and after the show they were able to get up close and personal with the critters. Lucy even patted Sam and Matthew on the head.

Matthew and Kate loved the tortoise, Kate particularly. Matthew was sure to spend time with every reptile he could and even held the snake.
He's not quite sure if this is really worth it, but is giving it a shot.
Sam could have cared less about the reptiles but sure enjoyed the snacks. So typical.
