Teaching Santa a Trick

Matthew was prepared for his meeting with Santa.  He wrote a letter, full page front and back, as well as a note for each reindeer on a separate index card.  He was very kind and gracious in his note, buttering him up for the asking for presents part no doubt.  He brought his note with him and also packed up some paper and scissors.  I have learned with Matthew sometimes not to even ask...he is full of ideas and can justify them all no matter how off beat they might sound.  He wanted to teach Santa how to make a snowflake.  I figured it wouldn't happen...too many kids, not enough time...but sure enough, Matthew waited till the bitter end and Santa was very sweet and sincere and let M slowly and methodically walk him through the snowflake making process.  Santa is good.

That is so sweet! I challenge anyone to show me a picture of a child holding scissors while sitting on Santa's lap! And that smile, so sweet. God bless Santa. Matthew always impresses me with his determination.
