The kids loved this guy.
Sitting on the big man's lap. Sam asked for Geotrax, Matthew whispered he wanted Bionicles, Transformers and a bag of fresh seaweed, and Kate asked for a "swimming cat". Santa may have a tough time with that one, but surely he can track down that seaweed? This morning the kids and I met Santa for breakfast at the local hotel. It was a really nice event; pancakes, waffles, bacon and oranges. And Santa. And white linen tablecloths which momentarily caused me to panic as I walked in with my sometimes unruly brood. They did great, having Santa just a few feet away surely had something to do with this.

Swimming cat! Love it! What does one do with fresh seaweed? He must have a good plan.
We have finally discovered sushi really is delicious and Matthew is hooked on the seaweed that the rolls are wrapped in. I think the only reason he was willing to give it a shot is because sea creatures eat it, he is currently into squid and octopus. I am trying to convince him squid is really good too. Deep fried or soaked in garlic butter of course.
