The Gong Show

Officially a first grader

The big boys performing.  Someone looks like he was made to play the gong.

Very enthusiastic, quite the show off.  They are reading music notes in Korean, held up on the card in the right front section of the picture.

The big girls getting ready for their dance.

The little ones.  The little guy on the far right didn't even blink...he was frozen in that position the entire time.  Reminded me of Brian when it comes time to dance, ha ha.

Matthew graduated from Montessori this week.  He spent two years with a great trio of teachers, it is bittersweet to move on.  Sam will go next year, and after much deliberating Kate will wait until she's four.  Matthew loved it, the continents are a huge part of the curriculum and Asia culminated their studies.  (Ask the kids to sing you "Continents Seven" if you see them or speak with them on the phone, pretty cool song).  Matthew was really excited about graduation, mainly because he would be performing in a Korean drum ensemble.  Normal graduation stuff.  He was all set on the "double drum" as he calls it but had to fill in on the gong as the gong player was absent.  He did well but was obviously pretty excited about it all, it didn't help that he had Sam egging him on in the audience..."Again!  Again!"  It was fun.  (Except when Sam had to go to the bathroom and Kate fell face first onto a wooden chair, yep, blood and all, of course during the performance, good times).

Awesome! Too funny! Your description on the phone was great, but a picture is worth a thousand laughs! Great job, Mommy! I love you all!
