A Day Trip to Remember

I never, ever thought I'd live somewhere that we could take a day trip to PARIS.  For real, my dreams have come true these last few years.  I will confess to always hoping/dreaming/scheming of ways I could live in Europe with my family someday.  Check!  I can't even begin to say how grateful, spoiled, lucky, blessed...whatever that I've been.  Obviously I'm bummed this is winding down but really, it's ok because WE DID THIS!  So ridiculously happy.

This was a day trip we took wow, two years ago.  That's crazy in itself because it seems we just did it.  We've been back as a family once or twice, Brian and I went without kids once, and I've been about 400 times with friends.  Or actually 15 times and yes I did keep track.

This is the sign we say when driving to work/school daily.

The remains of the closed border

A little bit of the PNW right here!

Got to see the super adorable Goldie and Lily!

Pokemon saves the day!

Just so painfully beautiful!

Strolling the Rue Cler

Gelato in multiple flavors all on one cone.

One thing I won't miss, paying 25 euro a kg for Rainier cherries!  Can't wait to hit up the Olympia farmer's market.

See?  Absolute perfection, right?  Yes!  There was no bickering or whining, everyone kept up while we walked the city, the boys never once wrestled each other crossing a busy street, and no Brian did NOT puke his guts out in that pretty little park by the Eiffel Tower.  Or maybe he did.  Yes, he did.  Blame the "steak haché" with the kind of raw egg on top, ooh la la.  Ok, all of that really did happen.  It's all good.  It was in Paris.
