Irish Dancer

Kate's been doing Irish dance since September and is still going strong.  She's had three or four performances now and is gearing up for a spot in the school talent show this month.  She's a hard worker and very motivated when she wants something (thank goodness she has her dad's work ethic), and she really wants to be good at this.  I'm proud of her and will admit to living vicariously through her just a bit.  Giant curly wigs will not be included, you can relax now.

The group.  Teacher Keneally is in the back...a freshman in high school who is a born teacher.  She's been competing in Irish dance since she was five years old.

The next week the girls performed for the Irish military contingent here on SHAPE.  So fun, they worked really hard for this.  After we were invited for Irish whiskey, Irish coffee, Guinness, sprite, singing, storytelling and all around Irish cheer (and I promise you it was cheerful).  Just can't help but absolutely love the assignment here.

You know I don't push my kids into anything they don't want to do but if we had Irish dance I would be forcing them to do it... love that Kate gets to do it!
