We survived the scariest day of the year. We weren't quite sure if Matthew would, his day started bright and early with getting into Buzz gear for a busy day at Montessori. This is normally a very calm and relaxed environment, and somehow it remained that way in spite of the fact that there were 16 three to six year olds in costume. This was followed by kindergarten where they had a parade and party. Brian and I were both able to join him for that and it was lots of fun. We were going to go downtown (we use this term loosely here in DuPont) for a business trick or treat, but we "forgot". This gave us some time to regroup and head out into the night. We were joined by our friends Karla and Scott (who after 15 months in Iraq is no doubt loving every second of this kind of thing) and their little chickens, Zoe and Phoebe. It was a perfect Halloween, just enough chill in the air and lots of houses with lights on.
Famous last words from our Sam..."I am too tired to eat all this candy". We still haven't figured out where he came from.
